Correct Footwear for your type of workout

Before you choose what footwear is right for you, the most important thing to do is decide what type of training you are looking to perform. Are you going to focus on just one type of training? Or are you going to include various training methods? The types of training can range from weightlifting, exercising on various cardiovascular training machines, stretching and participating in a variety of group fitness classes. If your type of training includes a lot of running then a durable long lasting comfortable support shoe is the right choice for you. If your type of training is taking part in the classes that the gym provide then a more specialised shoe is needed. However if you are in both brackets then a cross trainer is the right choice. Cross trainers are a trainer which cover all types of gym activities. The soles of cross-trainers are stable and have good enough traction to provide moderate support for lateral, or side-to- side movements. Cross trainers will also give you support for different types of surfaces whether thats court based through to tarmac style flooring. You have to make sure that the trainers you pick are not for show, just because they look good doesn’t mean that they are going to help you perform within the gym therefore comfort is a big factor. One last thing about the cross trainer is to make sure that your ankles are being fully supported therefore most trainers are made from leather or synthetic uppers.
