Are your courses all online?
Our courses are a mixture of blended learning, which means part face to face and part online studying although a few of our courses are online only, which means you learn at your pace.
How long will the courses take to complete?
Depending on what course you decide to take will decide the duration of the course. When you click on a course, see the total duration of hours and estimated time of completion. To discuss the face to face teaching days and know more about the course please contact the office on 07946405752
What happens if I miss a week or two because I am ill or on holiday?
We know things may crop up here and there, don’t worry. If you are away or ill just inform the centre contact at email@example.com stating you can’t make the course and include the dates that you are signed up for.
Can I put my course on hold at any point?
Yes you can put your course on hold, this will be charged with a £30 administration fee.
What is CPD?
Continuing Professional Development are small courses that are carried out to enhance your knowledge around specialist areas. These courses include either online learning only or blended learning. They are also referred to as CEU’s in the USA.
Who teaches and assesses the courses?
All our courses are taught by leading industry professionals who have vast experience in various different subjects. All our tutors/assessors have minimum of 5 years teaching within the industry. Our aim is to deliver quality, not quantity.
Are there flexible payment options?
Yes our courses have payment options. You can either pay the course in full or via installments between a 3-6 month period. To discuss further the payment options please contact the office on 07946405752 with the course you are interested in.
Is there a facebook group?
Yes we have a facebook group for all students who have passed the course to share their experience, their knowledge and more importantly to keep in contact and up to date with the industry. Once you have passed we like to keep in contact with our students and offer ongoing support.
When will I receive my certification?
Once you have completed the course which includes theory and practical examination, you need to ensure your coursework is fully marked and sent back to you confirming that this is passed. Lastly if you have spread the cost of the course fees over a number of months, these will have to be completed before we can issue you your certificate. We carry out a post office run on the 15th and 31st of each month excluding December which will only be the 15th.
When I pass will I be given an interview with any gyms you have contact with?
Once you have passed we will send your details into any gyms we are linked with which are local to you, all we ask is for your updated CV to be sent across via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is the course accredited by a National Governing Body?
Yes the course is accredited by a National Governing Body called Active IQ.
What is Active IQ?
Active IQ are recognised and regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA and they de-sign qualifications that support clearly defined career pathways for the active leisure sector which allows us as a training provider to deliver these qualifications.
Are MESA courses Internationally recognised?
Our course are Internationally recognised through REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals)
What is REPS?
REPs stands for the Register of Exercise Professionals. It is the UK’s largest independent public register for the health and fitness industry, and it recognises the qualifications of health-enhancing exercise instructors in the home nations. Anyone on the REPs register has to be appropriately qualified, is regulated, and has access to the REPs ongoing CPD structure. The REPS Register is currently across 10 countries which gives you portability to any country under the REPS register.
What is CIMSPA?
CIMSPA stands for the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity. It is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector. Our qualifications from Active IQ (level 2 / level 3) are recognised by CIMSPA
What prior experience or education do I need?
You don’t need any prior experience or education. All we ask for is a passion for your career and a commitment to the health & fitness industry with a willingness to learn.
I am currently studying at college / university or working full time, can I still do the course?
Yes of course you can complete a course whilst studying or working. Why? Our courses are totally flexible and work around your current lifestyle. All you will need to commit to is a few days that are face to face hours which happens on the weekends.
Is there a minimum age to study any of your courses?
You need to have finished school and be aged 16+ to enrol onto any of our courses.
Is there an option of taking a loan to pay for the course?
At the moment there is no option to take a loan however we do have our own finance packages that help spread the cost of your course between 3-6 months with no interest added.
If I fail my exams what’s the next step? Is there a exam resit fee?
If you fail your exams, as a company we will give you one free resit. After this, you will be charged £20 per theory exam and £30 per practical examination. You will be emailed your results, if you refer we will give you a selection of dates next best for you to attend.
